JAKE RICHARDSON
Born and raised in Canterbury, England, Jake was a student at the University of Southampton where he studied English Literature. A fascination with the cinema and filmmaking led him to include film studies in his degree.

Graduating in 2009, Jake made the journey to Australia where he attended the Sydney Film School, specialising in both the on set role of 1st Assistant Director as well as many post-production roles, he decided to pursue his interest in editing. Two films Jake was involved with succeeded in winning awards at the SFS Film Festival 2011, one of the winners, Diogenes, that Jake edited and mixed, was selected for a number of festivals including Sandfly and Bondi short film festivals.

After graduating in mid-2011, Jake joined the team at CBD, bringing editing skills from a strong filmmaking background. His creative partnership with Roen has proven fruitful and productive for Jake’s skills and he has persisted in expanding and improving his repertoire. With a hunger for knowledge and a keen eye for detail, Jake slots easily into the CBD team and provides a unique and refreshing perspective on the industry.
